AGM MEETING

The annual AGM will be held on June 4th at 7:30pm at the WISH CENTRE.

The following positions are up for elections:

Vice President
Treasurer
Secretary

We are always looking to add to the Board of Directors too.

Attention to Boys from 2004-Midget age group

A meeting is planned for Monday March 4th @ 6:30 pm at the WISH CENTRE to discuss the Midget Boys Wildcat team.

JR Wildcats Winter Session

Do you know a boy or girl who is in Grade 2-4 who would be interested in learning how to play the game of basketball? The winter session of Jr. NBA begins February 19th! Register now as spaces are filling quickly!

For Ages 7 -9 Grade (2,3,4 )ONLY 30 Spots
Winter Session Starts February 19th, 2019

The Wildcats will be conducting the Fall session of the Jr. Wildcat program starting February 19th, 2019 . Sessions will run on Tuesdays from 5:30pm to 6:30pm for 10 sessions. The class size is limited to 30 participants (boys and girls), ages 7 – 9 year old.(grade 2,3,4)
Starting in 2015, the Chatham-Kent Wildcat organization created a new program for children aged 7 – 9. The Jr. Wildcat program carries on where the Jr. NBA left off. This new program allows children to continue to play basketball as well as help to build skills to prepare children for travel basketball if they wish to do so.

The program has been created by Youth Sports Specialists and local basketball enthusiasts, and is compliant with Canadian Sport 4 Life as well is aligned with Canada Basketball’s Developmental Pathway.

The Jr. Wildcat program is for girls and boys ages of 7 to 9 who are keen on learning the essential basketball skills using a learner-focused curriculum and covers all the development of all FUN-damental Movement Skills (running, jumping, throwing, catching) and Basketball Skills (footwork, dribbling, passing, shooting) that are appropriate for the age level. The program focuses on maximum basketball touches to ensure every player gets a chance to handle the ball with exciting game based drills to allow the players experience to be the most enjoyable it can be.

A. = It is a 10 week program, consisting of approximately 1 hour sessions.

Q. – How much is the cost?
A. = $100.00 (2019 season)

Q. – What do we get for our $100.00?
A. = 10 hours of instruction. The children will receive a Wildcat t-shirt..

Q. - How many children are in a session?
A. = The program has a maximum of 30 participants per session to allow maximum instructor time per child. Girls and boys sessions run separately and simultaneously in the large gym.

A. = The program will run out of the WISH Centre at 177 King St. east, Chatham.

Q. - When does the program start?
A. = February 19th, 2019 (Feb 19th, 26th March 5th, 19th, 26th April 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th)

Wildcat Jr. NBA 2018
(For Ages 4 to 6 or JK-Grade 1) ONLY 30 SPOTS Born 2014+
Season Starts Wednesday February 13th, 2019

The Wildcats will be hosting the Winter session of the Jr. NBA program starting February 13th, 2019. Sessions will run on Wednesdays from 5:30pm to 6:15pm for 11 sessions. Dates for Winter 2019: Feb 13th, 20th, 27th, March 6th, 20th, 27th, April 3rd 10th, 17th, 24th, May 1st.
Starting in 2014, the Chatham-Kent Wildcats joined in a partnership with the NBA Canada called the Jr. NBA. The Wildcats were 1 of only 50 Basketball clubs across all of Canada selected to participate in this pilot project with NBA Canada.

A. = 11 sessions of instruction. Use of specially made baskets that lower to 4.5’. The children get to use and keep a size 5 light weight Rookie Gear basketball and will receive a Jr. NBA t-shirt.
