St. Clair College Healthplex (Chatham)

Focuses on learning to teach basic basketball skills, while still emphasizing fundamental movement skills in a fun, inclusive environment for athletes at the U10-U12 level.

Curriculum:
40% – Fundamental movement and basketball skill development of the individual
50% – Individual and multi-player technical aspects of the game
10% – Teaching basic offensive and defensive strategy

Steps to Certification:
Register and complete L2T pre-tasks (online at gameplanbasketball.ca)
Register and attend a L2T workshop. Completion of the course will grant you “Learn to Train Trained” status
Complete the ‘Making Ethical Decisions (MED)’ e-learning module (online at thelocker.coach.ca)
L2T Online Portfolio Evaluation completed by local coach evaluator
L2T Practice Observation by local coach evaluator

The next round of tryouts for teams is this Sunday, October 6th at The WISH Center.

Times are as follows:

Major Bantam Boys AND Bantam Girls 11am-12:30 pm

Atom/Major Boys AND Girls – 12:30pm-2pm

Novice Boys AND Girls 2-3:30 pm

Please bring a drink, inside basketball shoes, reversible if you one.
This is the first tryout and is MANDATORY that you attend.

The Club is holding initial tryouts for the following teams at St. Clair College-Thames Campus on Sunday September 8th from 10-4pm.

10AM-11:30AM- BANTAM/MAJOR BANTAM GIRLS
11:30AM-1PM – MAJOR ATOM BOYS AND GIRLS
1PM-2:30PM -ATOMBOYS AND GIRLS
2:30PM – 4PM – NOVICE BOYS AND GIRLS

There will be more tryouts as gyms open up.
